Winning eleven - zero…Success!

It was bound to happen. Everybody saw it coming. It was just a matter of time.

During finals week I needed to do something to relax a little bit. I needed a break from all that essay writing and from studying for the tests. Basically, it was the right moment to plug in the PS2 and play Winning Eleven.

Everything was going fine, but then I started getting bored of beating the computer. Luckily for me, my roommate arrived and decided he needed a break too. I reminded him that if I won 11-0, I would never play against him anymore, but he assured me that would never happen.

We started playing…

The first game was normal. I won, but he was able to make a goal and the score wasn’t too ridiculous.

So we kept on playing…

I think the problem with him is that he is always changing teams. He doesn’t get used to one single team like I do (I’ve been playing ONLY with Barcelona for more than a year and already know the perfect formation). He decided to play with Chelsea right after he had done a great job with Manchester United.

The first half ended 4-0, but I had missed way too many goal opportunities. I had my doubts about reaching the 11-0, but I was hopefull. I wanted to humilliate him.

The second half was about to end and I had scored 6 more goals, leaving me one goal away. I wanted to win 11-0 so badly, that I changed my formation and made it even more offensive. A couple of seconds before the end of the game, I scored.

I screamed and jumped and ran. I took a picture immediately, before he had any chances of turning off the tv.

I wanted to write about it, but I needed a picture. After all, not everyday can you beat your roommate 11-0.
