Happy Fall!

Dearest readers,

Happy first week of fall! Fall is my favorite season of the year, so I’m ecstatic that it’s finally here! I cannot wait for November when the already gorgeous scenery here on campus turns bright, beautiful colors!

This has been an extremely hectic week for me, but it seems as though every week is a hectic week here! I had three tests this week and various student meetings. I’ve become quite involved in Model United Nations, an educational yet fun student group that travels and debates current events! I will get to attend a Model UN conference in Philadelphia. I’ve never been to Pennsylvania, so I’m excited for that trip! Also, I completed my four hours of the required alcohol awareness class this week, so I’m slowly but surely on my way to completing my graduation requirements!

Finally, after a stressful week, I had a chance to leave campus and further explore the city! As you can tell, I love going off campus, even though thoroughly enjoy life on campus ,because I love immersing myself in this new city that will be my home for the next four years. My friend Kailey and I joined the University’s Campus Activities Board on the Richmond City Day trip to the Virginia Holocaust Museum, a small local non-profit art gallery, Carytown, and the Virginia Art Museum. My favorite destination was the VA Art Museum because it reminded me a lot of the National Art Gallery in Washington D.C., one of my favorite art museums of all time. Then, for lunch, Kailey and I enjoyed some great sushi and homemade ice cream on Cary Street. The trip was a great exposure of all the different artists, museums and restaurants that Richmond has to offer. It just opened me up a lot more to the Richmond city life!

Now, it’s back to the grind, studying for upcoming tests this week. Until next time!
