Crammin’

I’m almost finished with another year of school.  I have one class tomorrow at 1:30 and then this six-course semester will fade into the mist.  Okay, that’s not really accurate.  I still have a week of finals.  Next week, I’m responsible for an article in my journalism class, a 4-hr essay history test, a newspaper analysis paper, and my journalism colloquium exam, which requires me to make practically no mistakes or I fail the course.  Oooh, dangerous.  (I’ll regret that comment next week when I miss too many words, :) )

Otherwise, I’m cramming, but I thought I should mention that I have no time to mention anything,

Quote of the week:

Hilary Clinton: “These pirates are criminals.  They are armed gangs on the sea.”

Michael Gregory: “That means the ocean.”

What I do with my time

College is supposed to be a time for drinking, partying, and…not much else, right?  Wrong.  Well, slightly incorrect.  Sure you can drink, you can party–and both are available during the weekends here at UR–but you can also paint, draw, join a dance group, a singing group–create a group, if you want.  UR is particularly successful with students because it gives them the resources they need to do what they want responsibly.  Then, you can just do what makes you happy.  Today, amidst writing papers and working for the newspaper I found a few minutes to finger-paint.  Since reading is out of the question–I would feel too guilty not studying for one of my many finals–I let myself have thirty minutes to create art.  And now I’m sharing it with you.
