FIRE!!!

November 12th

Yesterday, my dorm room caught on fire! Well…. it was actually the popcorn in the microwave in my room that caught on fire. Regardless, it is a day later and I still smell the burning stench cover our room. It all began when I was walking back from writing a paper in the library. About forty yards from Gray Court, I smelled some smoke in the air. I ran into my roommate twenty yards later and he said that he needed to tell me something. I asked if it had anything to do with the smell and he said yes. Our suitemate wanted to pop popcorn in our microwave, but didn’t watch it and it had spontaneously combusted when he was not looking. Fortunately, the fire was quickly put out and the fire alarm did not go off. Once I got inside my dorm and first walked down my hallway, I saw a slight haze permeate all of it. It reeked and the smell has still not left our dorm yet. Today, I went to put on a sweatshirt outside of class and smelled the results of the fire on my sweatshirt. After being in the dorm a few minutes, you don’t notice the smell anymore. It was quite an experience and I thought that you might like to read about it.

Thought to Ponder: So, what’s the speed of dark?
